Valentine’s Day is always a good excuse to make something small but meaningful. This time I’m sharing a crochet tutorial for a Boho Style Heart - a simple reminded that handmade things don’t have to be complicated to feel special. The pattern is easy, relaxing, and honestly a bit addictive. One heart quickly turns into a few more.

What You'll Need
- 15 m (16 yds) of Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/8 in Oatmilk (03) or Baby Blue (75) colors (or any other light weight yarn)
- Crochet hook: 3.5 mm (US E-4) - a smaller hook is used intentionally to achieve a tighter fabric
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Optional: beads
Abbreviations (US Terms)
MR - magic ring
ch – chain
sc - single crochet
dc – double crochet
tr - treble crochet
sl st – slip stitch
st(s) – stitch(es)
CROCHET PATTERN:
Make a magic ring with oatmilk yarn.
Next, ch 3, 12 dc into the MR. Sl st to join.

Next work: [1 sc, 1dc] in the first st, 3 tr, 3 tr, 3 dc, 3 dc, [2 dc, 1 tr] in the next st, ch 1.

Sl st to secure the heart point

Start mirroring the pattern in reverse to finish the round: [1 tr, 2 dc] in the next st, 3 dc, 3dc, 3 tr, 3 tr, [1 dc, 1 sc] in the next st. Cut the yarn and wave in the ends.

Crochet the second heart in the same way but do not cut the yarn. Place the two hearts back-to-back. Start joining with sc through corresponding stitches around the edge. Leave a small opening for stuffing. Lightly stuff the heart through the opening to give it shape.

Continue with sc to close the opening. Finish off and weave in ends.

Thread a needle with yarn and pull it through the top center of the heart. Add a bead and adjust it so it sits neatly in place.

Cut several strands of yarn for the tassel. Fold them in half, pull them through the center at the bottom of the heart, and secure everything with a knot. To form the tassel head wrap yarn around the top of the tassel strands to form the head. Secure with a knot. Trim the tassel ends evenly.

Cut a piece of yarn for hanging. Fold in half, pull the loop through the top of the heart, make a knot and hide it inside the heart. Tie a knot close to the top of the heart.

And there you have it - your very own crocheted Boho Style Heart, ready to adorn any space or be given as a thoughtful, handmade gift. This project, simple yet filled with charm, embodies the joy of crafting something unique from the heart.

OPTIONAL
At this point, you’ve seen how easily this heart can change with yarn choice.
If you stop after one piece and use thicker yarn, like T-shirt yarn, you’ll get a cute heart-shaped coaster.

With lace yarn, the same pattern turns into delicate, lightweight hearts - perfect for decorations or small gifts.
